Dear friends and colleagues,
I’m pleased to introduce you at the 8th edition of the annual Workshop of the multidisciplinary network SeS Redox and Catalysis. After an electronic conferences organized in 2011 and four edition of WSeS organized in Perugia the workshop moved in Japan (Tokay University) under the guidance of prof Iwaoka in 2016 as pre-conference of ICCST-13. In 2017 we celebrated 200 years of Selenium in Wroclaw (Poland) and the WSeS-6 was chaired by prof. E. Wojaczyńska. The last edition (WSeS-7) was guested by the brasilian meetng ESSeTe-7 and chaired by prof. Ernesto Lang (UFSM).
The WSeS meetings are designed as a space for young researchers (undergraduate students and PhD students) in order to give them the opportunity to present their results and researches in a stimulating and multidisciplinary environment.
The edition, which we are going to attend, is again the pre-event of international Conference of Chemistry of Selnium and Tellurium ICCST-14 that will be held in Calgiri starting from June 3th.
Also this year, in order to facilitate the participation of the students, the attendance at the workshop is free of charge and we apologize in advance if we will be not able to offer you coffee breaks and lunches (even if we are trying to arrange something for you)
I hope that everybody will enjoy the lectures and the friendly environment, welcome to WSeS-8 !
Prof. Claudio Santi FRSC
